pioneers2012PIONEERS - Completing 6th Grade 
Wagons Ho!  Outdoor cooking, games, craft making, animals, community, swimming, nature and Bible study will fill your day before you gather around a campfire, then hit the hay in a real covered wagon on the big Iowa prairie! Take care of the animals at the farmstead: ducks, rabbits, horses, chickens, goats, sheep, piglets, cats... and more! On your final night, you'll even get to check out the hoe-down with traditional foods, games and music. Experience the 'good old days' as a Pioneer.

confirmation2012CONFIRMATION CAMP - Completing Grades 6-9

Experience Confirmation in a whole new way! Share outdoor adventures with your Confirmation class, along with your pastor or youth leader! Meet new friends and Ewalu counselors. Explore the meaning of "affirming your faith" and experience Christian community in new active ways, all in God's wonderful creation. Come as a group or an individual. See your pastor or youth leader for more details.

ranch2012RANCH CAMP
Completing Grades 7-9

Spend a week with horses!  Learn the basics of riding and caring for horses. Enjoy great camp activities as well, like swimming, cookouts, Bible studies, and campfires. Adopt one horse for the week, and by the end you'll be going on trail rides around camp, picking hooves, saddling your horse and learning to communicate with him/her. Play ranch games and try your hand at the lasso! Now, Intermediate Ranch Camp is available July 24-29 for experienced riders who have done Ranch Camp before or have lots of experience owning/working with horses. Night CampNIGHT CAMP - Completing Grade 7 
Come see the darker side of the woods! Enjoy world-class campfires, adventures on the High Ropes Course, late night conversations, night-time wildlife, and even midnight swimming. Call real owls, share faith stoies and experience the natural night life of the forest in Night Camp. Get ready for an awesome week of exciting adventures and new friends!

mad2012M.A.D. CAMP
Completing grades 6-8 
Go "M.A.D." at Music, Arts & Drama Camp! Enjoy developing your skills in multiple areas and celebrating your creativity! Develop your own pictures in our dark room, dig natural blue clay in the river, then shape, glaze and fire your project in a kiln... Electives include guitar, photography, clay sculpture, and drama. You'll also get to experience the other sweet parts of camping onsite at Ewalu: swimming, hiking, songs, games, faith talks, campfires, etc.!

MOUNTAIN BIKE CAMP
Completing Grades 7-9

Whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned trail rider, this program at Ewalu is built for you! Learn new riding tricks, conquer challenging terrain, practice safe techniques - you'll even learn and get to practice basic bike maintenance skills.

Review the basics and then ride awesome off-road routes! Bring your bike and helmet, or simply ask about borrowing one. We will provide extra tools, helmets and gear. Staff and special guests will guide riders of all skill levels. In addition to lots of ride time, enjoy bonding with new friends, honest conversations, great Bible studies and other activities.  Regular Fee: $439 Early Fee: $399  Dates: June 17-22, August 5-10

packandpaddle2012PACK & PADDLE - Completing Grades 7-9 
The best of three worlds: camping, canoeing, and backpacking...  Prepare yourself to hike the heights of Backbone State Park, backpacking and rock-climbing for the first half of your week. Then switch gears and hit the water's edge: For three days you'll travel by canoe, exploring river country of Northeast Iowa! Each day includes Bible studies, cooking over a fire, discussions, games, campfires and more adventures than you can imagine.  Regular Fee: $429 Early Fee: $389   Dates: June 10-15, July 15-20, August 5-10  Additional weeks may be available for youth groups by request. Registration Info:
The Ewalu office must receive your registration and deposit to reserve your spot. Additional sibling discount of $15 for each additional camper from the same family. To recieve the first early discount price listed above, registrations must be recieved by the end of February. Financial assistance is available. Contact Camp Ewalu for more information.
