Apply Today! Download the Application Packet Staff Employed in Previous Summers: Re-Application :-) Ewalu Bible Camp Ewalu is located in the beautiful wooded hills of northeastern Iowa. Ewalu offers 18 unique summer programs for youth in grades 2-12. Campers stay in cabins, teepees, covered wagons, tents or houseboats. Adventure trips include backpacking at Backbone State Park, canoeing on rivers and in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, rock-climbing and river rafting in Wisconsin, and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. Ewalu Day Camp (VBS) serves kids in congregational settings. Ewalu is a ministry of about 200 Lutheran churches in Eastern Iowa, serving people regardless of race, sex, age, religion, creed, or national origin.
