Ewalu Stone Retreat Center The Stone Center is located less than 90 minutes from Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Decorah, and Dubuque. Situated on 250 acres of rolling hills and woodlands, the retreat center offers a peaceful, scenic setting ideal for retreats, conferences and seminars. A friendly and courteous staff is waiting to serve the needs of you group. The Stone Center can accomodate groups of up to 50 people. There are 16 cozy motel style bedrooms which includes 2 twin beds, bunkbeds, and private bathrooms and showers. The retreat center has a large meeting room and a separate lounge to provide a relaxed atmosphere that offers guests quiet, comfort, and easy accessibility. The Stone Center grounds offers a large grass field behind the building and several miles of hiking trails through the surreounding prairie and down in the valley. The Ewalu staff take pride in providing tasteful, nutritious, and plentiful meals which are planned and prepared by the food service staff.
