Ewalu Stone Retreat Center

Convenient Location:  The Stone Center is located less than 90 minutes from Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Decorah, and Dubuque.  Situated on 250 acres of rolling hills and woodlands, the retreat center offers a peaceful, scenic setting ideal for retreats, conferences and seminars.  A friendly and courteous staff is waiting to serve the needs of you group.  We hope to see you at the Stone Center. 

Meeting RoomFacilities:  The Stone Center can accomodate groups of up to 50 people.  There are 16 cozy and private bedrooms in the lodge.  Each motel style bedroom includes twin beds with private bathrooms and showers.  The retreat center also has a large meeting room and a separate lounge to provide a relaxed atmosphere that offers guests quiet, comfort, and easy accessibility.

Meals:  The Ewalu staff take pride in providing tasteful, nutritious, and plentiful meals which are planned and prepared by the food service staff.  Banquets, receptions, and other special menus can be provided upon request.
 

Good Food!Recreation:  The outdoor settings offer attractive ways to enjoy leisure times.  Play a game of volleyball with others, enjoy a peaceful walk along a trail, or enjoy fellowship around a campfire ring.  You may also visit the Ewalu main site for swimming in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter.

Additional Services:  A friendly and courteous staff serves the needs of your group.  Audio-visual equipment is available upon request.  Facilities are designed for use by the handicapped.   Staff assistance is available to develop a successful program.
