Ewalu Camp Ewalu is located among the ridges, rock outcroppings, steep slopes, and wooded river valleys of beautiful Northeast Iowa. Reservations are welcomed from churches, schools, colleges, agencies, institutions and civic organizations. Ewalu operates two separate sites located near Strawberry Point. Camp Ewalu's main site has several lodges, cabins and bunkhouses available for large or small retreat groups - up to 175 in size. Ewalu also operates the Stone Retreat Center, a high comfort facility designed for adult and family groups - up to 50 in size.

camp's main site is located on 500 acres of woodlands, prairies, and rock outcroppings
surrounding the beautiful Maquoketa River valley. Lodges and cabins are grouped
together in the woods and offer a peaceful setting ideal for retreats, conferences and

Groups of 20 or less may choose to do their own cooking if they are staying in one of the smaller lodges - Cherry, Walnut or Hickory Lodge. Special Services: Special services available for retreat groups include: cross-country skis, miles of trails, snowshoes, canoes, swimming pool, hayrides, high ropes challenge course, volleyball court, campfires, Bible studies, games, and program assistance. The camp staff is available to any group for retreat planning or assistance. Reservations & Rates: Call to check on open dates, make reservations, or inquire about retreat fees.
