Recent Retreats & Events Dirty Feet Retreat
March 27-29, 2009 Come to Camp Ewalu for an exciting weekend! Enjoy live music, fun, the high ropes challenge course, games, food, fellowship and Bible studies. Come learn about the life-changing love we have been given in Christ. Print a Registration Form For 6th - 9th grade youth. Cost is $75/person, $50/chaperone. Register by March 1 for a $10 discount (youth only). 1 adult per 10 youth requested. The weekend runs from Friday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 11 a.m. Bring a sleeping bag, pillow, Contact Jesse Klosterboer for info: "Iowa Hometown History" Come for a fun-filled Adult Enrichment Day with 3 engaging speakers! Hear stories about early settlements in our state and learn where our towns came from - as well how our natural surroundings came to be what they are. Lunch will be provided. Kids will learn about the sacrament of baptism in a wet, wild, and watery way! Come be immersed in God's love and grace poured out through the waters of baptism.The weekend is packed with tons of camp fun, including a river hike, water olympics, a scavanger hunt, evening campfire, s'mores, stargazing, and Sunday morning worship. Ewalu counselors will be here to lead all the faith talks, activities, games, bedtime devotions, and so much more!Kids will return home refreshed by God's love, renewed in their faith, and encouraged to walk daily in the waters of their baptism. November 6, 2008 Have fun learning about our Christmas traditions. Come prepare for the holidays at this special Adult Enrichment Day! Why is Santa Claus depicted as jolly and wearing red? Did "The First Nowell" really originate in France? How do you make lefse? You'll learn to make cultural Christmas treats and decorations. Sample holiday goodies, hear special presentations on Christmas traditions, and enjoy traditional narration and timeless music.
