Comment from: Melissa Caudill (Godfredsen) Hello everyone! I was blessed to be a part of EWALU staff during the summers of 94-95. Wow, what an experience! I was lucky enough to make some wonderful friends, interesting memories, and get closer to God during my time at EWALU. I am married to a wonderful guy Scott, and have 2 children- Logan (4) and Delaney (16 months). I am now teaching sped students in Knoxville Iowa and I own my own business. I haven't had a chance to get to EWAUL in many years but hope to stop by sometime soon. Take care everyone! I don't know just WHO the "old timers" might be that Dave Rod referred to in his comment - and I'm trying to not take it personally. But it was good to know that there are a few of us still ALIVE! Photo at left: The Ewalu tent in the early 60's - one of the first photos taken of Camp Ewalu. The tent was located between the current volleyball court and Creation Center just north of Cedar Lodge. It served as the meeting space for the campers. Note the bell on the far right set up in front of the old kitchen shelter later known as the ARC.
